Engine Battle: 2022 Chrysler 300 vs 2022 Nissan Maxima Near Langley

May 24,2022

When it comes to sedans, powertrain options are hard to come by. However, the 2022 Chrysler 300 is available with two engine choices. Compared to the 2022 Nissan Maxima, it has more to offer in terms of strength and capability.   The standard motor for the 2022 Chrysler 300 is Canada's favourite 3.6-litre Pentastar V6. Pumping out 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque, it is fitted with an 8-speed automatic transmission from TorqueFlite and either RWD or AWD. The fuel economy ratings are 12.4 to 12.8 L/100 km in the city and 7.8 to 8.7 L/100 km on the highway depending on which drivetrain you select. If you opt for the 300 S, it will house a 5.7-litre HEMI VVT V8 under the hood. Churning out 363 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque, it uses the same transmission with AWD. It also gets approximately 14.7 L/100 km in the city and 9.4 L/100 km on the highway. Both can tow up to 454 kg (1,000 lbs).   On the other hand, the 2022 Nissan Maxima only comes with a 3.5-litre V6 that produces 300 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque. Mated with FWD and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), it does not provide the same options for increased power.   Contact our agents now to learn more about the 2022 Chrysler 300 lineup!
