Available in six trim levels, the new 2021 Jeep Gladiator is a magnificent truck that can be fitted with two different engines. Both use only a 4x4 drivetrain to ensure optimized traction on all sorts of terrain. The standard 3.6-litre V6 from Pentastar uses Variable Valve Timing to deliver 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission, you can expect to get around 13.8 L/100 km (17 mpg) in the city and 10.7 L/100 km (22 mpg) on the highway. The towing range is between 1,814 kg (4,000 lbs) and 2,041 kg (4,500 lbs). If you prefer an alternative to gasoline, then you can opt for the 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6 motor. Fitted with the 8-speed automatic TorqueFlite transmission, it generates 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. The average fuel economy is estimated at 11.2 L/100 km (21 mpg) in the city and 8.7 L/100 km (27 mpg) on the highway. It can also pull up to 2,041 kg (4,500 lbs).
