Compared to the competing Ford Taurus, it has more to offer in terms of power and engine options. Plus, you can get one of these beauties at O’Connor Chrysler in BC!

First, let’s take a peek at the base motors. The Charger is equipped with a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 that delivers 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, it can be coupled with either RWD or AWD. On the other hand, the base engine for the Taurus is a slightly smaller 3.5-litre V6. Generating 288 hp and 254 lb-ft of torque, it comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission and FWD.

Next, the Charger R/T is equipped with a giant 5.7-litre HEMI V8 that pumps out 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. While there are several other more powerful motors in the Charger lineup, this one is the most comparable to the second (and last) engine offered with the Taurus SHO. Using a turbocharged 3.5-litre V6, it produces 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
